The control technology of winter gourd anthracnose

Anthracnose is a common fungal disease of wax gourd. The disease can occur during the entire growing season of wax gourd, mainly damage the leaves. The damaged leaves initially appeared spotted and water stained and later expanded into yellow-brown round lesions. There is a round yellowish halo outside the spot. When it is wet, reddish mucus appears in the lesion. When the lesion is dry, the lesions are cracked. When the damage is severe, the leaves die and the vines can also develop. The lesions are oval-shaped, slightly sunken, and initially pale yellow water stains. After that, it turned dark brown and the macula continued to expand. After one week around the stem, the diseased part of the melons died. The period of fruit damage is water-stained dots, with slightly raised edges, brownish afterwards, and slightly sunken. When it is wet, it produces pink mucous substances. The later lesions are cracked and even rot. The fruit has no commercial value, and high temperature and humidity are favorable to the disease.

Control methods: Choose well-drained loam or sandy loam soil, strengthen field management, apply fertilizers properly, and pay attention to drainage in the rainy season. 70% thiophanate-methyl 800-fold and 75% chlorothalonil 600-fold before and after the onset of disease, and 50% carbendazim 500-fold or 65% zeocin 500-fold mixed 60% anthrax Fumei 400 times liquid prevention.
