In order to develop paddlefish breeding, optimize the structure of aquaculture species, and improve the comprehensive fish culture effectiveness in large water areas, Hangzhou Aquatic Technology Promotion Station and other units conducted paddlefish cage culture experiments at Qiandao Lake in Panan from 2002 to 2003. After two years of aquaculture experiments, good production and economic benefits have been achieved: the average output has reached 9.15 kg/sq.m., which is equivalent to 6100 kg/mu. (i) Selection of farms: The farms were selected in some Kuwan, Qiandao Lake, Pan’an County.
