HPV is at your side, affecting your life

How many pathogenic HPV genotypes
US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention published in 2018, we found that the HPV currently have more than 150, some of the HPV types can cause warts, and some types can cause cancer. Both men and women can cause mouth/larynx cancer and anal/rectal cancer, and men can also develop penile HPV cancer. Women can cause HPV cancer in the cervix, vagina and vulva. Http://

The number of oncogenic HPV subtypes recognized by the International Agency for Research on Cancer has increased over the past 15 years. ➢ In 1995 , the IARC announced that certain subtypes of HPV are persistent infections that are the leading cause of cervical cancer.
➢ Confirmed 4 high-risk carcinogenic types in 1995
➢ Increased to 13 high-risk carcinogenic types in 2007
➢ Up to 25 high-risk carcinogenic types in 2012

Sex, cancer and viral HPV cause rapid spread of male laryngeal cancer
American scientists have discovered that HPV is causing a new type of head and neck cancer. In 1985, male laryngeal cancer was positive for HPV by 16%. In 2005, male laryngeal cancer was positive for HPV by 72%. In 2025, male laryngeal cancer was estimated to be 90%. Researchers believe that this upward trend is related to the prevalence of oral sex. The incidence of laryngeal cancer caused by HPV infection will be as high as 90% by 2025 and close to 99% of cervical cancer. Gillison, et al. Nature, 2013, 503:330-332

China currently sexually transmitted HPV types Know
Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences virologist 2013 report: 200 copies gay anal wipes samples tested HPV type 30, the positive rate was 64.5% (129/200), two of them Up to 12 types of co-infections were detected, and all 30 types were detected in this group. It can be seen that the current sexually transmitted HPV subtypes in China have far exceeded 30 types, and the male HPV infection rate is higher than that of females. Peng, et al. J. Clin. Microbiol. 2013, 51(2): 402-408
MasScan ® HPV Unique Advantages High Accuracy + Wide Dynamic Range

>> Mass spectrometry laser scanning PCR and probe end point method for the amplification of dual specific target samples, molecular weight labeling, ultra-fluorescence dynamic range detection, fully automatic reporting results.
>> Check out >10 copies of all subtypes to avoid high-risk missed diagnosis with low expression in mixed infections.
>> The E6/L1 double gene is used for the extremely high-risk HPV16 and 18, which can effectively reduce the missed detection caused by L1 gene shedding after carcinogenic integration compared with the current market using L1 single gene detection. MasScan®HPV workflow

MasScan ® HPV for the crowd
How to infect HPV - understand the route of infection, and then know effective prevention and timely inspection.
➢ HPV is the most common sexually transmitted infection (STI) virus because most virus carriers do not realize they are infected, and they do not know that they may transmit HPV to their sexual partners. Normal people who have sex with a virus carrier without any symptoms may be infected through contact with the vagina, anus or mouth.

HPV is not just for women . It is a source of positive detection. Only by blocking the source of infection can the virus be completely cleared.
➢ Identification of multiple HPV genotypes in human sperm banks Danish scientists conducted the first HPV screening of the world's largest Cryos international sperm bank, and found that HPV positive rate was as high as 16%, and 2/3 was high-risk, revealing that sperm is HPV transmission. Carrier. Kaspersen, et al. PLOS ONE, 2011; 6 (3): e18095

The significance of HPV typing detection
➢ Confirm that the risk of infection is extremely high. HPV16 infection will develop into CIN3+ to invasive cancer within a few years, but not on carcinogenic HPV61. It will not develop into cancer for a long time.
➢ Confirmation of continued infection with IARC The publication of certain subtypes of HPV persistent infection is the most important cause of cervical cancer. Most HPV infections are cleared within 1-2 years, and are considered persistent infections when the same or group of HPV genotypes are detected more than twice in more than one year. If the first HPV test results are positive, it is difficult to estimate when to get infected. From infecting HPV to developing cervical cancer, it takes at least 8-10 years of incubation time. Continuous testing can effectively avoid missed treatment correction.
➢ Identify who is infected with you. When you have sex with an infected person, the HPV you are infected with is the same as the genotype of the infection. Using condom blocking and co-treatment and testing can help correct persistent infections.
➢ Vaccination guidance may not be completely ineffective even if you have had sex and revaccination. As long as there is no type of vaccine coverage, vaccination is beneficial.

MasScan ® HPV Human Papilloma Virus Tyage Detection

Mass spectrometry high-risk HPV targets oncogene E6 to avoid missed detection
At present, about one-sixth of cervical cancer HPV screening missed diagnosis
In 2017, Shanghai Fudan University Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Guangzhou Jinyu and Beijing Sino-Japanese Friendship Hospital and US experts jointly reported that the negative rates of HC2 detection in cervical cancer patients were 15.5%, 7.5% and 9.8%, respectively. In Quest Diagnostics Inc., 526 patients with cervical cancer have a negative HPV test rate of 19% within 1 year.
Limited by the technology platform, almost all HPV testing products use L1 as the detection target .
In the process of cervical carcinogenesis, the integration of HPV gene and human gene causes L1 gene loss, so the L1 gene has the risk of missed detection of the target; the oncogene E6 can be used as a detection target, regardless of whether the HPV genome is integrated or not. A patient with a positive HPV.

Specimen type: cervical exfoliated cells, secretions, biopsy tissue, semen, buccal swabs, anal swabs, urethral swabs or glans and foreskin swabs, swabs on the surface of the carcass.

Sensitivity and specificity: The minimum detection amount is
10 copies / reaction , and the type detected is accurately identified without cross-reaction.

Detection system:
PCR instrument + MALDI-TOF nucleic acid mass spectrometer

Scope of application: Currently used in scientific research and epidemiological investigations.
