In order to improve the food safety control mechanism, the Inner Mongolia Insurance Regulatory Authority has recently joined hands with other departments such as the Food and Drug Administration to actively promote the pilot work of food safety liability insurance in order to explore the insurance model, accumulate experience, and gradually promote it. In accordance with the implementation plan of the Inner Mongolia Food and Drug Administration on the establishment of a food safety liability insurance system, each of the autonomous regions in the autonomous region has selected more than 10 food companies as the first batch of insurance companies to try to complete the insurance work by the end of 2014. On the basis of pilots, through the improvement of relevant working mechanisms, efforts will be made to promote them within the autonomous region by the end of June 2016.
The Inner Mongolia Insurance Regulatory Bureau required the relevant insurance companies to strengthen the organization and management, special account management and service management of the pilot project of food safety liability insurance, standardize insurance operation procedures, simplify insurance and claims procedures, facilitate businesses and consumers, and help insurers to carry out risks.
