Changping has superior natural conditions for the production of strawberries. Changping District is located at 40 degrees north latitude, and this latitude is the internationally recognized optimal production zone for strawberries. Changping District is a semi-humid semi-arid monsoon climate zone with a warm temperate zone. It has four distinct seasons, annual average sunshine hours of 2,684 hours, annual average temperature of 11.7°C, frost-free period of 200 days, and annual average precipitation of 550-600 millimeters. It has a large temperature difference between day and night, and sufficient sunshine during strawberry growth period is conducive to the accumulation of strawberry sugar and the formation of flavor. The source of water penetrated by Yanshan Maifan Stone was pure and pollution-free, and the Jingmi diversion canal passed through here. The water resources are in excellent conditions. Changping District's natural endowment is very suitable for strawberry growth, thus ensuring the quality of the strawberry.
According to the “Regulations on the Protection of Geographical Indication Products,†AQSIQ organizes experts to review applications for the protection of geographical indications of strawberry in Changping. After passing the review, it was approved to implement the protection of geographical indication products for strawberries in Changping from March 16, 2011 (No. 33 of 2011).

Quality and technical requirements
(a) Variety.
The sweet and sweet varieties mainly include Zhang Ji, Jin Zhong San Ji and Yan Xiang, and the sweet and sour varieties such as Ablion and CAMAROSA.
